Glenn Close talks Alex Forrest and mental illness

From the Huffington Post:
Alex Forrest is considered by most people to be evil incarnate. People still come up to me saying how much she terrified them. Yet in my research into her behavior, I only ended up empathizing with her. She was a human being in great psychological [...]

I had a dream

It's not unusual to have a dream when one is sleeping. It's something one does while one is unconscious and possibly naked (optional). It's also not unusual for me to dream of beheadings, massacre, stabbings, or just plain old end of the world mayhem. On Wednesday night, as usual, I had a dream of the violent sort. In it, there was a guy who pulled a gun and shot everyone in sight. Before this fun, random act of insanity, I also witnessed a task being carried out by another individual: putting a furry throw over a bear. Now, I would've just chalked it up to another anxious dream of mine, had it not for these two things:

Fort Hope shooting (msnbc)

An Army psychiatrist who opened fire at Fort Hood, Texas, killing 12 people and wounding 31 others, was shot but captured alive, military officials said late Thursday.
!!!!!!

It gets even more bizarre:
U.S. officials said Hasan was an Army psychiatrist, NBC News reported. Defense officials said Hasan, 39, arrived at Fort Hood in July after practicing for six years at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, which included a fellowship in disaster and preventive psychiatry.
I swear I didn't will it! Totally stupid and sad and unfortunate. They should've seen the signs of someone becoming slowly burnt out and consumed with traumas. We know how hard trauma counseling is, and those dealing with others' trauma need extra careful supervision so they don't break down. Fortunately this sort of mass murder is not common, but they still must check in with their trauma specialists more closely than this?

AND from dailymail:

You'd have thought a fur coat would have been the ultimate bear necessity. But not for the unfortunate Dolores who has lost all her body hair and has just been left with a few tufts around her head. Vets have been left baffled by the condition of the bespectacled bear, who lives at a zoo in Leipzig.
Time for a little FREAK OUT?? What does this all mean? Should I start recording my dreams and register myself as a psychic reader? Do psychic readers have registration? Am I a vessel OF THE FUTURE?

Yeah, I read about this yesterday afternoon and didn't want to tell you. :(

I didn't read about the bare bear though. Freaky. Can you dream me up a million dollars and some sexy ladies? :deal:

ETA: Uh, my verification word is 'bugers.' I thought you should know.

I wrote you a little mid-length commentary last night, but my cord had come out so I lost it; and now I'm too hungry to think clearly enough to re-do it (so fatigueing!) so I'll just say--yeah, welcome back to the intuitive realm!

And it's not just trauma, it's terrorism too!

DS: Why should I dream you up a million dollars and some sexy ladies when I can dream ME up the same, but better? :deal:

As long as it's missing a 'g', you're all good. :sidelong:

Jason: Not the T-word! RACIST!

Think about all the times you've already dreamt of those things and not gotten them. Clearly the rules are that you can't dream up stuff for yourself. Don't worry, you can borrow from me. :deal:

Not if I pretend to be someone else in my sleep? I don't trust the ladies and the bling coming back to me from you. They'd be TAINTED, if they get to me at all.
